Submitted by Michael McLean Spring Meeting - Promises To Keep The
Spring Meeting was held at Promises To Keep in Derry on April 12,
2003. Outside it was dark and dreary, but inside it was bright
and cheery! By the end of the luncheon, everyone inside had
caused the day outside to turn to sunshine. The 190 members and
guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. This was the first time we
had come to Promises To Keep, and everything was done to
perfection! The setting was elegant, the meal was delicious and
the service was outstanding. We were given an informative and
entertaining presentation by our guest speaker, Maj Dennis J. Viola,
USAF (Ret.), Director of the New Hampshire State Veterans Council, who
is also a chapter member. He answered a number of important
questions from the members on veterans issues, both statewide and
national. We were joined by one first timer: Chuck Packard of
Hooksett. We look forward to returning to Promises To Keep in the
future.

If not, you should to see the new features that our Webmaster (Michael
McLean) has added. The site now has an electronic version of this
newsletter, a list of locations to obtain ID cards, a ready reference of
telephone numbers, the 2003 Federal Benefits Book for Veterans and
Dependents, highlights of the Board of Directors monthly meeting,
members’ e-mail addresses, and much more. While you are on the
internet, don’t forget to visit the national MOAA site at: http://www.moaa.org/.
Happy web surfing!

By Paul Bernard It’s
that time of year again – time to get ready for the clambake. Our
“Bake Master” (Don Holroyd) is temporarily out of the country, but is
expected to be back in late June – in time to coordinate this very
important event. In the meantime, if you would like to volunteer
for a specific task, or you are willing to help with whatever needs to
be done, please contact me by phone at: (603) 229-1334 or by e-mail at:
pbernard@attbi.com. I will keep track of the volunteers until Don
returns. If you have helped out in the past, we look forward to
working with you again, and if you have not helped out in the past, now
is the time to get involved!
