*Fall Meeting - Mount Washington Resort* What a wonderful weekend it was! The Fall Meeting was held at the Mount Washington Resort on September 13, 2003, as part of a social weekend from September 12 - 14. Fifty-four members and spouses stepped into a world of casual elegance at The Bretton Arms Inn, a faithfully restored New England country inn. We effectively took it over for the weekend. The activities began on Friday with fourteen chapter members playing an 18 hole golf tournament on the daunting PGA championship Mount Washington golf course, thanks to the superb efforts of Herb Lippold who organized it. That evening, everyone stuffed themselves on a superior 4-course dinner. Saturday morning there was a tennis round robin scheduled; however, only Dee Lippold and Pat Graham were bold enough to get up that early! Eventually, Pete Burdett arrived to join in the fun. The Fall Meeting and Luncheon was held on Saturday in the elegant Dinning Room of the main hotel. 193 members and guests feasted on Chicken Marsala and Seafood Crepe. We were honored to have Congressman Jeb Bradley as our guest speaker. He brought us up to date on the various legislative issues affecting the military and veteran community. We were joined by eleven first timers: Ronald and Marion Coble of Bedford, William Day of Stratham, George and Ann Lamb of Durham, Patrick and Marjorie Morris of Wolfeboro, Frank and Marge Sherman of New London and Edward and Maureen Sowa of Danbury. Saturday evening, those who wanted to continue the magical weekend gathered on the veranda of the Bretton Arms Inn for good company and a few drinks. Sunday came all too soon, and the drive home, in the rain, did nothing to dampen the wonderful memories we all have of the weekend. *Annual Meeting - Manchester Country Club* The Annual Meeting and Luncheon of the New Hampshire Chapter was held again at the Manchester Country Club in Bedford on November 8, 2003. 201 members and guests were treated to another excellent meal put on by the staff of the Country Club. While the members' business meeting was in progress, the spouses and friends' were treated to a thoroughly delightful presentation on dolls by Doris Sayer, wife of chapter member Arnold Sayer. The dolls that Doris brought with her were truly things of beauty! We were honored to have Justice James E. Duggan of the New Hampshire Supreme Court as our guest speaker. He provided us with an entertaining, thorough and very interesting brief on the workings of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. He also presided over the installation of the newly elected officers and Board of Directors of the Chapter. We were joined by four first time members: Luetta Kaminski of Nashua, Robert and Zoe LaGassa of Grantham and Kenneth Peterson of Bedford.
